Just back from the Wack picking up a window for the other Safari. The tops of the mountains are white. Couldn't see the very top of Cheam because it was in the clouds. The freezing level is supposed to go up to 2200 meters tonight, so it may all be gone by Saturday. Happy wheeling and take lots of pics.

We are in for wheeling, good, bad and ugly is the best

latest weather update (good for about an hour until they change their mind) - Chilliwack, Saturday, light rain 70% POP, 11-8C. Sunday, partly cloudy 20%, 11-4C. I might not be able to make it anyways due to a very painful wisdom tooth. If it gets better I'm in rain or shine but if it doesn't then I will likely have an unpleasant meeting with some pliers.

I'm in :bounce:

Probably meet you at Ricky's at 9:30 so I can have breakfast with the :princess: and lil' one before heading out. I just live 5 min from the restaurant.

Jason

Environment Canada is a bit more optimistic forecasting showers ending tonight, clouds with sunny periods Saturday.
I'll probably meet you guys at 9:30 when your finishing up breakfast.

TEN VEHICLES! – SUNSHINE! – GOOD TIMES!

The Mount Cheam trip was a resounding success. 18 people were there with 10 vehicles.
Members and guests present: Martin S, Justin VanH, Greg VanT, Rob Millson, Rob Cz with kids Sylvia and Davie, Marcin & Ania, Mat R, Gary T, Aaron, Carolyn & Skylar, and Bill W with grandsons Shikai & Longxi, and a guest Jason in a HDJ81, (Mud “Cruisn’ “).

A hearty breakfast at Ricky’s in Chilliwack got us started and we were underway about 10:00 a.m. under brilliant sunny skies and on up to the Chilliwack R. bench road, Slesse Park and up the colourful Mt. Cheam FSR. Lots of yellow and red maples signaled the coming of winter. All the way up we were anticipating some white stuff, after remembering last years snowy escapade, but fortunately the road was clear all the way up. We enjoyed the top overlooking south to the Canadian Border Peaks with Mount McDonald and some fog and clouds below. The wild blueberries were red and the landscape ready for the first snowfall to come.
Widowmaker Hill was passable so everybody enjoyed going down, dodging potholes and boulders. Then onward, over the hill peaks and on to the north side lookout. Gary, in the lead truck plowed through some shallow icy puddles as it is colder on the north sides.
We enjoyed lunch and playing in the gulleys near the viewpoint and propeller memorial site. Due to the clouds below we just caught glimpses of Harrison Lake and patches of the Fraser River down below.
Moving on, we descended Chipmunk Creek Road and through the narrow bush trails where the 80’s found themselves just a bit too wide to avoid pin striping. Oh well, there’s always Mother’s Scratch Polish next week guys! We played in the big gravel pit for a while at the bottom and by that time it was around 5 p.m. Gary T and Mat decided to head for Mount Foley but the rest of us headed home, tired but happy to have enjoyed the perfect autumn day and the last big club run for the season.

Next CC club meeting November 13 BE THERE!

**If you have not yet notified Bill of your plans for the Xmas Party, please let him know how many people and what menu selections**
