TCASE Neutral/ Tranny in Park. I detail what I do in my other thread.

Recent shot, different rig

Muds a great place, we are mostly here to help and partly here to give each other a hard time! I'll update my other thread with my baseplate setup pictures. I've seen Blue Ox's military tow bars! Over kill for 10,000 or less rig like ours. Share A picture of it in tow when you get it set up. Definitely something you never see behind one of those rigs.

Planning on adding something like these 1" clevis mounts to the front/rear of the truggy, and then I'll be able to hook-up a standard military towbar. They're pretty handy for lifting stuff too.

Well, T-Case has to be in neutral. I put the tranny in N as well just for the paranoia side of "what would happen if the t-case went back in to H or L while rolling at 75."

The other capt'n obvious thing is, the steering must be unlocked... and for the typical RV, you better have a supplemental brake system in the 80, regardless of the fact it is law in most states.

Brakes required by law for sure in CA, and I'll add them, but they're no necessary with our tow-rigs. Would think it might be better to leave the transmission in park, so as not to risk anything spinning without adequate lubrication, no?

:hmm: hmm, I'm not sure what the parasitic drag would be on the tranny. I see your point though.
