MotionX Contour Lines in Ft

This is probably an RTFM thing (skimmed it, couldn't find it nor on the interweb)... is there a way to change the contour line markings on the downloaded MotionX maps from meters to feet? I have the distance units set to mi (vs km or nm) but it doesn't change the contours.

OPenCycle Maps is a UK based project, as far as I know it's meters only.

Am I correct in understanding that MotionX is only compatible with their maps? Or can you sub a 3rd party map?

Only their maps. The reason the price is 3 bucks is that they are using the public license maps.

sure, but there are other public maps, right? somewhere here there's a link for free GPS indexed downloads. but the way MotionX tiles their maps is probably the reason for the sole-source.

what other (software) options are there for the iPad? MotionX seems like it rules the roost right now.
