I was wondering if its possible to get more torque and a bit more fuel efficiency out of the 1fz-fe, granted I'm not talking about 500hp but like maybe 250-280 maybe?

What are you using your 80 for? Is it a daily driver/ family hauler or off roader? Is it stock or do you have it lifted with oversized tires? There are a lot of different ways to set it up to get it to meet your needs. The first thing to do it make sure everything is working properly. There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum to your get your truck dialed in and awesome folks that are always willing to help. The more info you provide with your questions will get better answers.

More torque/hp yes, fuel efficiency no.

Turbo or Supercharge. But it doesn't come cheap.

What year as well?
95-7 are much more accepting of forced Induction

This little gizmo netted me an additional 100 HP & 100ft/lbs of torque.

Sold as a bolt-in kit from Wits End.

Best upgrade, by far, I’ve ever spent!
