Monstaliner or RaptorLiner

No experience with Raptor but I've done ML twice. It's a great product but weigh your choices carefully before you line your 80. I wouldn't say I regret doing it but a crazy custom color like I did pretty much kills resale potential. Something like OD or black would be easier to resell if that's ever gonna be an option for you.

Never used Raptor but I did the inside and out of a Jeep in Monstaliner. PREP is key. There were a couple spots where my prep wasn't great and the monstaliner chipped off. What's nice is that you can just buy a small can of touch up.

Was nice not ever having to worry about scratches... Doesn't protect against dents though :)

I have two 80's in the driveway right now, one with raptorliner and one with monstaliner.

Based on what I remember the raptorliner seemed a little thinner, but I preferred the monstaliner kit, and think it's a little smoother. These are both rolled on. Sprayed looks much better.

Pics from today...

Picked up two gallons of monstaliner and some 4" foam rollers. Going with smurfadelic. Just kidding, beige.

lets us know how it goes ! :) I am about to do the same thing, just haven't figured out when :)

Only difference is that I want to use custom tint - just the OEM Toyota white.

Let me know if you find a good source for the tint, I'm also going with OEM Toyota white when I do the raptor.

I'd get more rollers just to be safe. Change them early, change them often... I made the mistake of getting into the zone, not changing my rollers early enough, and having flecks come off mine into the liner in some areas.

Yes, post pick please and update with your experience. Considering this upgrade

2 Gallons? Are you doing the whole vehicle? Why not spraying? Good luck. Post pics of how it turns out.

He's got a point - I did both inside and out of a CJ5 and that took 2 gallons. I doubt you'll need more than one.

I am planning on mostaliner all over as well, that is if I can get off my butt and declad, remove roof rack, and patch holes. Taking a week off on Memorial Day week, we'll see if it happens then.
