That is an awesome deal for a swap like that. I did a 350TBI V8 swap in my 60 and I was in it almost $5k in parts. Buying all those new accessories really kicked my tail in the price dept.
I've been considering the Lexus 4.0 V8 swap in my 91 as well as several Turbo diesel options. The TD I'd like to use is the Isuzu 4 cylinder 3.9l found in the NPR trucks. However, finding a good motor at a reasonable price is darn near impossible. Low mileage Lexus motors can be had for 1000-1500 and they sort of have that Toyota factor going for them. I believe with mixing parts I could get everything to bolt up using Toyota parts. These motors are quite a bit lighter than the 4.7 and their has been a lot of hot rodding done with them in the Lexus cars. The 350 TBI swap has often crossed my mind as I know quite a bit about it. I think I'd probably try to go Vortec instead just to get a few more ponies. I too want to retain my fulltime 4wd.
