I have a 1997 4Runner with 3.4L V6, 5 speed stick, and 4WD. I'm looking to put a mild lift on it, 1-2" tops, to fit 265 75 16 tires, maybe 275s later on. I have a friend who has some rear LC FJ80 shocks he like to sell, and another friend who wants to sell me a set of 4 Tokico shocks. I've heard about using LC springs before, but I can't track down anyone who has done it. Anyone here try it, or have any advice? I am NOT interested in any body lifts, rather go the suspension route. I'd love to hear from you.

4Runners have coils on all 4 corners. Add a leaf doesn't apply.

LC80 coils will be too much, if all you want is 1-2". Just FYI, you can fit 265/75/16 or 275/70/16's with the stock suspension. If your springs are sagging, I'd either get OEM 1999 4Runner springs, which were the tallest of all the years, or get a Sonoran Steel 7.2 kit.

I'm not sure of the year but a friend of a friend used LC springs on a similar year and it raised it about 3-4".

I have 265 70 16s on my rig, and I know you can fit 265 75 16 (31.6") on if I want. Someone just told my about the Highlander Springs that wer available for the 1999 4Runner Highlander edition, a model I just found out about. These sound like just what I'm looking for. These would just be dealer offerings or are they available elsewhere?
