Mobile Browser - Android 101

Having read a few threads regarding difficulties with Mobile Browsers and the new forum software, I thought I'd post a few screen shots and instructions as seen on my Motorola Droid Mini.


Screen 1 is the Forum Home Page as viewed. Remember, clicking the IH8MUD logo from ANY page in the forum will return you to THIS point. Looking next to the word "Forums", you see three horizontal bars...

When you select those three horizontal bars, you then see the balance of the main menu/tabs for access into other sections.

Alternatively, either from the Home page or from any of the Forums, select the three dots ... and you'll see additional options/navigaion.

Next, select New Thread...the following appears...enter your Thread Title and your text...

Scroll down, and you'll see three options below...odds are, you want to Attach File (pdf's, jpg images, etc)...

This image allows you to Choose what file you wish to upload...for mobile browsers, it IS one at a time...but you can upload multiple files (5 max) by returning to this dialogue...

My Droid offers four options as noted below...for photos I've already taken, I access Documents...and then the "recent" option...

From there, select the file/image you wish to upload

Remember, the images you are uploading are likely being handled by your 4G/3G connection, so expect more upload time versus a wifi connection...You should then see something like below...click the "full image" button (NO NEED to click Thumbnail too!) and your image will appear inline...

Thusly...

Inserting ONE image at a time allows you to upload all images, insert one, add text, insert another, etc. All inline.

This is posted with my phone, photos taken as needed...

First, my Dell laptop...

Enter twice.... Now a sleeping beagle...

Enter twice before image and after...and lastly, my office chair...

Enter twice, more text...


If your images take forever, lower the resolution on the camera...these three were shot at my phone max...and it took about 5 minutes to type/pic/upload

Yep. Works on the S3. I will try the old Galaxy S next.

Still doesn't work on the old Samsung Galaxy S SPH-D700 running Gingerbread. Clicking the more options button also still does not show the expanded radio button options at the top either.
