Moab OCT 15

Ran into a group of guys on here from north Georgia in Moab in October. Stayed at Grandpas garage. Wanted to drop in and see if anybody saw anything sketchy around the house that weekend or if anyone had anything stolen. My Jeep was broken into at my apartment a few weeks after we got back and I assumed my Glock was stolen then along with all the other stuff. However I received a call today saying my gun was recovered in Eckert Colorado. A little over 2 hours from Moab. The officer here thinks it must have been snatched out west and I didn't notice it. I still think it happened at home and it's just a coincidence, but it is a hell of a coincidence. I remember there was a foreign guy living in a van staying there. Did anyone see him poking around the jeep?

I was part of that group and we did not have any issues at all. Kinda find it hard to believe that it would have happened in Grandpa's at all given that the entire back is fenced in.

As far as the "foreign guy" being suspect I highly doubt Ben had anything to do with it. He's from Australia and was in the US on a 3 month walk-a-bout and doesn't "live" in the van at grandpas. In fact Steve still keeps in touch with him, seemed like a helluva good guy.

I doubt anything happened there as well. Local sheriff just figured I should ask. He's convinced it happened out there, but the jeep was never unattended the whole trip. They were building 8 new apartment buildings behind me at my apartment complex using the construction equivalent of carnies. Guys from all over the country. My jeep was also broken into in my garage here, so no reason it wasn't swiped then. Pretty much the answer I was looking for Teddy. Thanks bud.

Total false alarm. Cop called back this morning. He misread report. It was in elkart Indiana. Definitely from the garage break in.

Sorry to hear about the incident. Really sucks to come back from something so fun just to have your emotions turned around instantly due to a break-in.
