If the LC mirrors are like the Tacoma, the outer cover just pops off. The signal is held in by 2 screws on the Tacoma. Remove them, unplug the signal, gently pry it out, replace and reverse the process. Go to the 2:23 mark here to see:

I just did this, it's simple.
Get a plastic prybar (or electrical tape coated flathead screwdriver) and stand toward the front of the vehicle. (in front of the mirror)
On the body side of the mirror insert the prybar at the gap between the front of the mirror assembly and the main mirror body. This location will be at the 2 o'clock position if you were looking at the passenger mirror from the front of the vehicle.
Work the prybar in a clockwise rotation following the gap. By the time you get to the exterior side of the mirror it will practically be falling off.
Once the mirror outer skin comes off, remove the blinker assembly with three screws.
Remove the wiring harness from the blinker.
Replace in the opposite order.
