looking to do a stock height replacement, which should give me some lift to fit 295s.

I have 305/70r16 on my current cruiser. It was riding on the original springs until recently.
Zero clearance issues. No lift required.

If you stick to 295/70 tire you won't need lift

Yep, that’s what I’ve read. What set up do you have and do you like?

As above. Until recently, my cruiser was sitting in 100% stock suspension. Original springs. Unbranded aftermarket stock replacement socks.
I had it like this for 5+ years. I put 305/70r16 all terrains on it in the first weeks of owning it.

In this form, they ride like a Cadillac will go though a surprising amount of rough terrain. And grandma could drive it to church with one finger on the steering wheel.

I put 2" lift dobinson springs under it recently, but its a work in progress. Needs shocks, caster correction, fresh bushes and away bar extensions.
I'll put 35s on it eventually.

Ironman also just came out with a new monotube shock that is supposed to soften the ride compared to the foam cell pros and nitro charger shocks.
