Any updates for the MetalTech front bumper? Thanks.

I'm in for a front bumper! I'm assuming there will be light tabs?

x3. I am in the market for a front and rear bumper. I was going to build my own but the design for the front you have been hinting at would be very similar to what I would build.

What is the status. I am looking for raw steel so I can powder coat them myself.

I am getting a local guys 80 on Wednesday afternoon so I can build the tube work on Thursday and Friday. There will be some slight tweaks to the tube work and it will also allow me to build the a/c canister guard since he has one (our 80 series doesn't). He also has the fender flares on as well so the tube work will accommodate for that rather than our cut fender wells.

The bumper will have 4 mounting tabs for lights, two in the middle of the stinger and two below in the empty space.

These will be raw and can be powder coated as per request. Hopefully I will have a couple beta sets soon for some testing.

Great news!
Hope to see the pic soon...:)

@LT

Is there a write up here or elsewhere showing the details of your fender trim.
I didn't find it searching here or your website.

I am sorry for the delay on this bumper. It is going into CAD this week and should have some beta parts back next week sometime. There will be some design revisions. One big one is the main wing will be one piece and we will have different size stingers or no stinger at all for options. These bumpers will come raw, not powder coated since it is designed to take a lot of abuse. Here are some photos of our 80 at Rubicon testing the new bumper.

Who is that good looking guy behind the wheel in the second pic?

Do you know how you both know each other is gay?

Chad, That is badass! All this time and I never that we had someone like Metal Tech in Oregon. I am going to try and make it to the meeting next Thursday as I was invited by Steve. Cant wait to see that badass concotion of steel and metal. Any word on a rear tire carrier at a budget?

I don't know... I think he voted for Obama :flipoff2:

That guy would never vote for a dirty socialist A-rab. Your the one that lives in a state that put that fawker in office.

LT how do you ever get any work done in the shop? Every time I get on MUD you are on also. Last time I talked to Mark he told me he fired Mongo. So I'm guessing that you are the one that is supposed to be do the work on the shop floor. :flipoff2:

Great! I can't wait to meet you... Unfortunately, I will not be driving my 80. I'm still waiting for LT to give me my tires! :flipoff2: As for the tire carrier, I really don't know... Give us the scoop LT!

it's friday, you done yet? email sent to metaltech to be a beta test mule, :deadhorse: here 'cause I can.
I have no flares and stock fenders if that matters, and my 93 AC stuff is all up in the engine house.

 waiting and watching as patiently as I can,
