Well I finally got mine hung. Ended up laying the latch catch on the ground and pounding the middle section in with a hammer.

Got tired of over thinking it. When it doubt get a BFH.

BTW my door openings were all square so that wasn't the problem.

look Familiar to anyone:

I have had these installed in my FJ for about 9 months or so now and besides the issue with the door stryker I am happy. I will say defiantly lube the door handle latches because they will bind up after some use. Now I need to get my hands on some of those take apart door hinges to swap them out easier..it can get a wee bit cold here in Alaska.

Your striker hits a lot lower than mine did. I played around with mine and eventually got them to latch in the middle of the catch between the 2 screws. I also beat that middle part of the catch down for more clearance because I could get them to shut but they were hard to open.

I'm happy with mine now. During the install I was ready to take them off and beat them on the driveway

Mine went on without any problems...sorry guys! Of course my keepers on the strike are loose, so it was easy to adjust to fit the latch. Now I also run that latch with my soft top doors.

X2 on the top quality of Metal Tech products....have their full cage, nose protector and tube doors. Next up, sliders and fenders.

Besides the great products, they are strong supporters of our hobby.

Honestly I have no complaints. Yeah it was frustrating but the quality is there. I'm actually glad there were so many points of adjustment. Because if there wasn't, I woulda just been out of luck on making them fit
