I think the plan for the time being will be rebuild the straight 6 that comes in it. Just so shes running and of some minor use. Then eventually something bigger chevy 350 or something.

Good plan other than the 350 part.

I've gotten to drive a freshly redone 2f the last few days, and its amazing the power its got, with no special dressings or anything. Just desmogged factory and it flat out hauls. (Compared to my worn out F at least)

Sweet. What brand of bender is that?

Not sure if I'd want to learn how to fab by doing my own cage (maybe start with sliders and bumpers - something that won't kill you if it fails?). Just something to consider.

Sooooo Right! And you waste a lot of tubing trying to figure out getting the bend in the right spot, especially if you need more than one bend per piece of tubing. One of the back issues of FOUR WHEELER or 4WHEEL&OFF-ROAD had a nice tech article on roll-bars and gave the formula on how to figure out where to center the bends and etc. Anybody know which issue. i'll be digging it out soon if no one else can find it, and I'll post it.

The car is in newport news va im in clemson sc little less then 500 miles away. But I don't have a vehicle that can pull the trailer it would fit on. Plus the cost of a trailer and gas is as bad as the cost of shipping so I figured why deal with the hassle turns out its more of a hassle then I though.

Thanks for the offer stress puppy but the cruiser got picked up this morning and will be here later today so I am set. I just got to clean more s*** out of the garage and get it in there. Me and clemsoncruiser aka jp my roommate are gonna start taking it apart and fixing it up. I'll be undoubtedly asking tons of questions and displaying the progress on the old rust bucket so keep and eye out. Thanks Richard
