Maybe Sunday mid-afternoon??

Below is a quote from the article. I can see why our neighbors would be frustrated. It's not Landcruisers making all the noise. This doesn't come as a surprise. We've seen a sign hanging from a tree politely asking folks to keep it down at night. Apparently that hasn't made an impression. We've noticed a huge # of ATV's this year, mainly on the weekends. I will be more cautious about heading down there now.

I imagine a lock will go on the gate soon.

"It's frustrating for authorities. And some citizens have had enough. Especially some who live in Belhaven. Many have to endure the noise of ATV modified mufflers all hours of the night. Lawmen are cracking down.

In the past two weeks a number of A-T-V riders have been charged with trespassing, littering and erosion of stream bed violations. "

Hadn't seen that, but I'm glad to see it. I'll gladly quit going. They have completely trashed it down there, and I'd be glad if the cops could shut them down. They were ruining my experience down there anyway. I can hear them from my porch on the weekends, and that's probably a mile off. It may not be all of them, but it's most. Throwing trash everywhere, not staying on trails, no mufflers.... Buncha damn idiots.

When I saw the pictographs in Moab one of my thoughts was that if 2K year old Indian drawings were discovered in the deep south it wouldn't take a year for some idiots to deface it.

IMO, Best case would be if it could be regulated use in some way, like a park system. Nothing close to enough resources to make that happen anytime soon.

Let's find somewhere else to go.

My thing is it looks bad enough for our redneck friends rip roarin thru the mud on their Yamaha's , Marsha and Skycopter would love seein a cruiser down there going thru a big ole mud hole. That would make GREAT TV.

3 ON YOUR SIDE

Wish there was a place close to us...
my Father-In-Law owns some if not all of that land. I'll try to get him to go with us!!

Lash
Sounds good. I wonder if those two statements can't be brought together somehow?

No. You have reading to do.

Quit surfing the web and read.

Read through the FSM today on the subject of swapping diffs. It's gonna take me a little time to get the funds together for the diff/flange rebuild, locker, and axle rebuild kits. Gotta keep driving till then.

So are we riding tomorrow?

We're having Fathers Day lunch with my F-I-L tomorrow. I have a couple of Google Earth print-outs for him to show me where his land is. I'll see if I can get him to join us for later in the day.

How does 3:30 sound??

Whos in?

Barry's house it is.

If my F-I-L rides with us he will probably meet us over on the Flowood side of the Pearl.

My winch is still dead, so I'm glad you guys have 'em in case that recent rain made things even worse. I think we know the deep holes to avoid!

Happy Fathers Day!
