I didn't pick it up. I will check with Graham tomorrow. If not Il stop over at 6 mile and check.

Sweet. Ill call Steve S. and see if he grabbed it. Vern seems to be avoiding the board...... weird. lol

Trophy?? I hope it's not the lady Bing. Sorry i missed but my Nephews were playing in their first Stanley Cup playoff game last night and family comes before friends. I even insured the 40 to take to the pub.

Lady Bing? Na.... More like a two legged horse. How far could a two legged, headless horse really get? You may have inadvertently dodged a bullet here Vern.

Uh... did anyone grab Vern's trophy? I didn't. Hope it's not still on the table. Not that it would be the end of the world or anything if the bloody thing disappeared.

I didn't pick it up either. Not sure how we all missed that. I'm sure they still have it there; thanks Keith for going to check. If you can't for some reason, let me know, and I'll drop by and get it.

For those that never made the meeting, we had a decent turn out with some new faces:

slowandsteadyBJ, Koopz (HZJ73), Gsb15+guest (BJ70), wussypup+guest (HDJ81), cspence (FZJ80), GTSSportCoupe (LJ78).

Along with the general BS, we talked about some changes to the executive positions of the club. Cam has handed off the President position to myself (Nick - aka GTSSportCoupe), Steve handed off the Treasurer position to Keith - aka Koopz. There was a quick vote among those present, none were opposed. The 'About VI Cruisers' thread will be updated accordingly.

We will begin planning more regular weekend runs, and maybe a longer trip this summer involving a night or two of camping. To be further discussed at the next meeting. I'll also start a couple planning threads when I get a chance.

I feel we might also consider promoting the club a bit to attract some new members. This might simply mean getting some VI Landcruiser stickers onto current member rigs. Again, this is up for discussion (at future meetings, or here on the forum).

Sorry I couldnt make it the other night, family thing came up last minute

I'd be up for an overnighter in late June. I get back around 18th.

That would be really good timing for me too, as my wife/kids are gone to Ottawa from June 18th and they are back July 3rd. It's a rare opportunity where I'll be able to get out easily for a longer trip.

I was trying to think of a destination worthy of a 2-3 day trip. Would be nice to get to a back country lake or big water fall or something like that to camp at. I was also wondering if its possible to cross the island on logging roads and find a remote beach access point on the west side of the island where we could drive down onto the beach to camp and wheel a bit. That would be really cool. I'll get another thread going when I get a chance.

That is the perfect window for timing a trip for me. Maybe look up to NW tip of island, there are some nice isolated areas, and rec sites for camping. If you start a thread I'll follow along.
