We had a blast today! We had fun meeting everyone. I apologize, I meant to leave the cookies for the campers:bang: Our daughter didn't last 1/4 of the way back out this afternoon...passed out. She woke 20 min later asking to go back up the mountain.
I think @wtmtnterror has found a new wheeling buddy :D thanks again

Well the Santa tin was discovered full of your delicious cookies ..I don't think any were left, thx for the treat. I think the kids all had a blast. I know "smoothie" the catapillar won't ever be the same ;)

Pete, thanks for leading the run. Angie and I had a great time. We forgot to bring our camera so thanks to all for the great pics.
It was nice to see everyone and also to be able to link new faces with screen names. Another fond memory will be our official

Epic pin stripping....A little more stripping and you'll have a white cruiser.

Glad everyone had a wonderful time and it was a real pleasure to set this up. My update and pictures are posted to the run's facebook page here : ROTM - Mt Ord backway . Really great to see old friends and to make some new ones. Also, good to see some recent buyers of LC's joining the club :) Thanks CSC/Medtro for setting that FB page up.

Just putting a few teaser shots here, more on the FB page

Beautiful! Clearly reflects that this ain't no mall cruiser :)

I wish I had made it. It was a bit far outside my confort zone for driving on my new engine. I only had it in the dirt for a few minutes before. I didn't want to take a unproven rig out in a group yet.
But yesterday I broke her in from Lake Pleasant to Crown King. Ran like a champ. I do need a crank pick up oring, speedo oring and to reseal my steering box. And it's 100%

So it's ready for next weekends overland expo.

Btw.. there is a "Arizona Toyota Landcruisers" Facebook page as well. It's been up and going. I try and cross post the copper state events to.

Does anyone have the gps trail recorded? I coukdnt make it but would like to do the run in a few weeks. Thanks.

Thanks!

Here's the tracks I recorded starting from Heber.

Great trip, guys! Thanks to Pete for pulling this ROTM together and arranging the tour of the Fire Tower (and I'm sure the guy and his kid that wasn't with us enjoyed that immensely!). Here are some pictures that I don't think anyone else got.

The view at the top - note wooden chairs, fully suspended off of the metal flooring for lightning protection:

And finally, a stylistic shot of an FJ40 in it's natural habitat:

Great company around the Campfire in a Can, and looking forward to the next overnight trip for more of the same,

Thanks a bunch for the track!
