Mast installation on the Land Cruiser 2004 (1 Viewer)

Hi All, I am trying to install a new mast on my Toyota Land Cruiser 2004. I have read in the repair manual as below;

In the manual, they stated the teeth on the cable must face toward the rear of the vehicle. However, following this video for Lexus, which has pretty much the same motor in 11:35 seconds, it stated to point the teeth toward the front. Is this a typo in the repair manual.
