For those not going on San Rafael Swell run we also have Chinaman's on the trail schedule for March 23.

I didn't look to see if we have a departure time and location posted yet for that run.

Camping option in Browns Creek.

Some of us are planning on camping Friday night at Browns Creek. Post up if you would like to join in on the camping option for this run so we can have an idea of how many to expect.

So far the list of possible campers is:

Luke
Rodney
Mike
Chuck

My plans have changed and I will not be able to go. Sorry. A friend in Denver has gone into hospice and we will most likely be there on Saturday.

As it stands now, the meet/leave time at the Western station in Woodland Park is 8:30/9:00. Some people are camping in the Johnson Village area. You can gas up and buy snacks at the Gunsmoke truck stop in Johnson Village. I estimate it will take around 1.5 hours to get from W.P. to Johnson Village. The campers can meet the main group there or at the trailhead. Campers, speak up!

I hope you have a great time!

From the campers:

We are heading out Friday night to camp at browns creek. I think we're going to try to get on the back side of 273 in the aspens and out of the wind. We were planning to be at the gunsmoke at 10:00 AM, then head to the trail. If you make it in later than that, it will be real easy to catch up with us on the trail.

Anyone else planning on attending?

So far it's my wife Heather and her JK, me and my XJ, Rodney and his 4runner, chuck and his 60, and mike and the Bronco.

I'm pretty bummed and skeptical. As beautiful as it is today, I feel that our always ridiculously far off wrong colorado weather people are going to strike again and we will have cancelled for nothing. We shall see. Be the last trip I ever cancel if they're wrong this time.
