Luke has arranged to have a representative of the Colorado Association of 4WD Clubs talk at this month's meeting.

Please come out and discuss this important topic related to club dues as well as future topics.

Meeting starts at 7:00 pm.

Luke, do we want to have the speaker plan on 7:30?

I don't expect it to be a formal presentation. I would like to have Jeff come in and get to know us, and us get to know him. Then we can start asking questions and listen for feedback. We'll just proceed as normal and let it roll. Looking forward to expanding our friend and contact base.

If you can, please make this meeting. We're trying to progress this into a more active club, we need our members to help.

Along those same lines, I will be collecting April dues and trimming down the roster of current members so we have an accurate count. Membership in the Colorado Association of 4WD Clubs is based on the number of members so I will only include however many are paid as of the date that we join. This membership includes a subscription to the newsletter which has a lot of great information in it so I'll need a good address as well.

If you know that you are due, can't remember, or haven't paid in a long time, just PM me and I can let you know your status and whether you are due in April or October each year. I will also be at the meeting early to check in with anyone then too.

March meeting recap:

Welcomed new members:
- Chris and his son Ian (FJ80)
- Gavin Meyer (78' FJ40)
- Gregory Stokes (97' FJ80)

old business:
- Dues discussion. Stays at twice a year, (april or october depending on join date). Dues will cover CLC membership and membership in the Colorado Association of 4-wheel Drive Clubs, ($10/yr per member in current standing pending a club vote at April monthly meeting).

new business:
- Jeff Stemas (regional director??) of CoA4WDC gave a presentation to the club about the benefits of CLC joining the association; trail grants, college scholarship for member's families, legal and legislative representation, community service, and quarterly magazine, etc.
- Discussed requirement for OHV stickers on ALL vehicles using Federal and BLM(?) land being enforced this year. Stickers cost $25.25 per vehicle, valid March 31st thru March 31st each year. (May need more research on this issue??)

trip reports:
- Yankee Hill Run (Feb). 3 CLC members and 5+ Rising Sun club members. Lots of stuck vehicles and winching. Lessons in tire size/style/tread, and type of winch cables in cold weather.
- A few CLC members ran Metberry 3/16. Cleared a huge tree from Cedar Mt. Road. Trail looks good, getting a little harder due to erosion.
