Found this neat little device on Amazon today. Use it for movies / music / pics / maps and leave your tablet storage available.
something to think about if you're wanting to keep and travel with massive data but don't want to labor your tablet storage. sends out its own wifi signal so if you're offline its still available to pull from.

As lame as it is for this forum here's a screen shot of my set up being utilized in an "urban setting".
Bluetooth paired GPS receiver to the iPad. And Hema street running off my iPhone hotspot.

been downloading GPX files for two days loading this puppy up. Most of the trails we'll do in Moab are on here and the Ouray trip trails
