Morning,

What's everyone using for map light replacements on the dash?

I found these just looking to see what others have used.

This worked for my '76 US spec FJ40 dash light. It's cool white but will show green through the OEM green filter in the light bracket.

Yes look good.
I replaced it couple years ago with one not rated for 24v and it stared burning up as i was going down the road.

That bulb is the shape of the light bulb in my dome light on the driver's door pillar (76 Hard top). It comes on with the dash pull switch and the Vador light next to the glove box. The dome light also has a switch to prevent it from coming on with the Vador.

I mounted a bulb socket above the rear curved corner window and put in an Yellow LED - very bright, lights up the cab espically the jump seat zone. Switch is mounted below lower dash pad drivers side. Next to that switch is one that controls my rear heater and my waterproof 60 LED back up light. The LED back up light will cycle white, amber, flashing white and flashing amber by quickly toggling the switch. Very bright, very handy for backing up the 300 yards to my house - the amber saves night vision.
