I love oysters. Any way they're prepared (or not). I'm like Bubba Blue about them. Fried, raw, roasted, Rockefeller, Lavoy, Felix, stew, on and on and on.

Benjamin Buford Blue...folks call me Bubba. Just like one o' dem ol' redneck boys......you balee that?

Eat your heart out.... fresh oysters over ice for the 4th.

Can't do it. That looks like my wife's mucous plug that she lost just before giving birth to our last kid. Even after tequila shots..... :barf:

Needless to say, makes it not very appealing. But the best oysters Ihaveever had are in New O at Dragoos. Chargrilled. I found the recipe online.

1.Heat a gas or charcoal grill. In a medium bowl, mix butter with garlic, pepper, and oregano.

2.Place oysters on the half shell right over the hottest part. Spoon enough of the seasoned butter over the oysters so that some of it will overflow into the fire and flame up a bit.

3.The oysters are ready when they puff up and get curly on the sides, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan and Romano and the parsley on top. Serve on the shells immediately with hot French bread.

Oh man, had oysters today before the Tday feast. They were selects from Elizabeth city, nc, and they were the best oysters I have ever had. I thought sc locals were the best, but I was wrong.

Holy hell, these were good.

Went to the place where the fella bought the oysters from and took their remaining inventory today. Oysters and football all weekend.

woot

I love oysters. We have a 3 ft square piece of expanded metal attached to an angle iron frame with handles down at beach firepit. I found it too messy to throw whole oyster on my bbq. We just gather up a few dozen oyster at a time, and throw them on. When they start to pop, people are on them like a badger on a beefsteak.

If I'm not down at the firepit, I'll grab a few muffin tins ( I buy them at the dollar store; throwaway ones ), and I put a single oyster in each hole, and add butter, garlic, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Throw the tins on the bbq; no mess. Some people like a topping of mozzarella cheese, but I find it a little rich, and prefer cheeseless as I get to woof down more oysters.

It's hard to beat good pan fried oysters though. Dipped in a egg wash, and a combination of 75% fine cracker meal, 25% Panko.

We have some awesome oysters here in the Pacific Northwest.

How can you tell? It sounds like you cover them with too much s*** to taste them.
