another thing to watch:
with a shackle reversal, by adding length to the shackle you may compromise the u-joint
at the front pinion. if you take this approach always check that under full droop the u-joint doesn't bind. A limitting strap in the center of the axle will not impede articulation
and is cheap insurance against pinion or ujoint breakage. If there is doubt play it safe
