More for future reference than anything.

I was getting an open circuit code for the intake air temperature sensor, which is located in the MAF.

Swapped the MAF from a new one I bought a few years ago. In the process noticed the tab was broken off the plug, but it was still seating nicely.

Still had the code, so ordered a replacement plug and some pigtails.

I'm guessing I've got a break in a wire somewhere else. Hopefully the plug does the trick though.

You can replace the terminals and rubber seals, and keep the OEM wire colors. Ballenger and Corsa both sell them (Sumitomo & Yazaki) in bulk...waaay cheaper than Toyota sells those "repair wires".

The plug wasn't bad. $11 or $12.

Those wires were $8 a piece, and I bought ten in case I went full retard. That hurt. 🤣

I was there, seemed easier than digging into a separate source.

I probably could've just de-pinned the old plug as well, but I've found in the past that i struggle with that. 😅

Well you just added 10 additional potential failures into sensitive circuits by splicing pigtails in. And spent $80 to do it instead of $5 to do it properly

They're soldered, heat shrinked, wrapped, and in wire loom. It's better than what Toyota did. 🤷‍♂️
