Hey Pat, I just noticed the change you made, "I'm Nat's trailer bitch."

:lol::lol:

Good stuff!

I like that latest concept you posted up. Its doable that's for sure. I need to e-mail this thread to the wifey, since it will ultimately be the "Love Shack" :D

figured it was no sense keeping it secret...lol...might as well put it there for the world to see....;)

I probably made it a bit more elaborate then it would have to be (wow...there's a surprise) but if you sell it with a pull out tray for a porti potti, she'll be putty in your hands. The kitchen could defintly be modular in order to be moved in or out. What VI said about the popup type cabinet makes the most sense, or go the componets.

se2000 had a good one too....find a "donor" popup, hell...I'd even like to adapt a slide out bed (kind of a one sided pop up, like the new Jeep trailer out there) then you use the lift system also as Swampman said, and kinda keep the lift top idea you were heading for..whew!

May I humbly suggest 8 to 10 straight and angled support legs under the fold out top/bed if the "Love Shack" designation is applied for.

Cool project!

To be the "Love Shack" it will be very very well supported :grinpimp:

Possibly a motion dampening system

focus there John Holmes.......

How about 4' sides?....and is it high enough for a motorcycle?

This is a hard sided pop shell concept. The interior has 41+" of room and slides up to create 61+" of space. With built in racks, I can attach a roof top tent.

In talking with the wife, she likes less comfort and more utilitarianism.

Thanks on both counts! :D

Ummmm, AWESOME! I love the hard sided inner panels.

What are you doing for a lift system?

I will probably decide once the design is more fleshed out. Putting actuators at the corners is one option, but that has issues. I may use one actuator and have it pull cable, that way the corners lift at the same rate.

lol

I think you guys are on your own

:grinpimp:

Looking forward to your build.

I have a M101A3 that is just sitting there waiting for me to do something

Here is another approach from an Australian company Camprite Campers. The lid folds up forming one wall, the bed folds or slides out over the side, then the tent is deployed.

It seems like a lot of Aussies are making those tent trailers.
