Looking at buying a trailer to tow behind my 40. Leaning towards an M101 but also considering a 5’x8’ with boat rack and ramp.
Last trailers I owned & towed with it were a 4’x6’ Willys civilian trailer and a 5’x12’ tandem axle landscaping trailer.
The Willys trailer would track behind it over the tightest trails and through very rough terrain. It was almost perfect and was easy to forget it was there.
The landscaping trailer was also great. Would haul so much, but off-roading… no way.
The ‘5x’8 would be a compromise off road, but somewhat more useful for household projects. It’ll only be worth what I buy it for, but with some minor metal work and a coat of paint the 101 should be worth more $$$.
So what’s a 101 with a some surface rust and needing paint worth?
Which would you buy to tow behind a 40 to haul camping gear, tools, and supplies.
