How does it pull behind the 80? I have heard that the knock on the military trailers is that they are really heavy to tow. Yours looks smaller than most- is that the CDN part of the m101?

CDN = Canadian. It's a military M101 made for the Canadian Army. Only a couple thousand made from what I know. US equivalent is the M416. The CDN trailers were all mfg'ed in the early 90's, so by comparison they are much newer than the M416.

Weight empty is all of about 750 lbs and I hardly know it's back there! Of course I'm used to towing a 4000 lb trailer for the scout troop. :D

It really towed very easily, even in the rock gardens up Coyote Canyon.

I am going to research electric brakes for it tho. Dave and I stopped right before the bottom of Montezuma Grade down to Borrego Springs and my brake pads were eminating little wisps of smoke! I only had a couple hundred pounds of wood in the trailer. Forget to throw the cruiser into 2nd. Regardless, I've got the cruiser wired for a brake controller, so it's a saftey thing for me.

One other PITA item - washed the truck and trailer and when finished, as I usually do, check the tire pressures and the air bags. DS airbag was nil so filled it and PSSSSSSS - leaking air. Sounded like it was coming from the top of the bag in the coil. Could be and hopefully just the air line has worn out after at least 5 years or more in there. Still a PITA to repair. Need to completely unload the coil to get to the top of the bag and that means the hi-lift since I don't have access to a garage with a lift. Shiat! At least the M101 isn't heavy enough to really need the air bags like the troop trailer did.

If you want to drive to Torrance you can use my lift... But it is probably easier to use your high lift...
