I'm going back and forth between the LX and LC. Seems the LXs are much more plentiful and a few thousand cheaper. One issue I was concerned about was off the shelf sliders fitting the AHC since those are usually my first purchase.

I spoke with MetalTech regarding their lc200/lx570 sliders fitting. They can check but would need a pic to verify. They sent me this:

"The picture could have a post it note showing the location of the pump with a measuring tape showing distance form a given point. If we find they would not fit, we could make a set that would with the provided information. "

So if anyone with an lx570 would be so kind as to snap a few pics for me (and other prospective lx570 buyers). I'd greatly appreciate it.

Pics can come, but we just got snow so the underside of my LX is fairly nasty right now.

Tony, I would be interested if they can build something to fit the LX too. So, in a sense, I am helping myself.:D

My body mounted slider design is looking to be placed on the R&D schedule sometime in March. They will eliminate any interference issues with hydraulic lines from the KDSS or Lexus AHC systems. They will also provide what I consider to be a decent increase in ground clearance over traditional sliders.

Hmmmm if I play my cards right perhaps a day trip to mass for exhaust and slider install.......:hmm:

Ok, so here is a preview of what is lurking under the LX (looking towards the front of the truck - driver's side)...

With this shot, I was trying to show the length of the frame with the AHC components. This was the first time I actually have been under the truck since our purchase this last year. All I have to say is "HOLY MOLY!" I had no idea what it looked like under there. 1. The frame is huge! (or at least it looks way wider than the one on my 100) 2. That is a ton of stuff hanging under the frame! It is pretty obvious that anything attached to the frame would need to drop down a good amount to clear the AHC stuff.

Definitely looks like body mounted is the way to go, frame mounted looks very doable though. The AHC is much larger than I thought (I'm new to AHC). Those OEM AHC slider things are pretty interesting. Does the LC have something similar?

no - the KDSS is tucked up (towards the inside of the frame rail) and has guards protecting the units

My wife and I have been talking about the meetup this coming August and if we should toss our name in the hat. The one concern I have is sliders. So, this is great news. Keep us posted!

Sorry the delay on the pics... I'll see if I can get under mine and get those specific pics posted by tomorrow. Stay tuned.

So yesterday evening, I climbed under the LX to try and get some pics along the driver's side frame of the various AHC components with a measuring tape as a reference. Sorry, I forgot to grab post-it-notes. (NOTE that the captions for a given pic are below the associated pic.)

This is the area that I am trying to depict in the following photos starting at the driver's side front and working back. I do apologize as I was laying on very cold asphalt with the truck in High and did not have direct access to a lift to allow better more comprehensive single photos. My big hiney was having to scootch along while trying to hold my phone (without dropping it), the measuring tape, and grab shots along the way.

You can see here where I attached the measuring tape to help make it an easy reference to the various measurements along the way. You can also see that the first bolt is right at 16"s from this point... This should be the Relief Gas Chamber.

That is the reference bolt without the measuring tape... just for clarity. Easy to find.

The next mounted item (Front Suspension Control Accumulator Assembly) front bolt is at 27" from my same reference point.

At 36", the first bolt for the Suspension Control Pump Accumulator (man, I thought I was farther away than these photos seem...)

See next post for continuation...

Continued from above:

The Suspension Control Pump Accumulator extends back to about the 43" mark, along the frame.

Actually, if I am looking at the pics and the above illustration correctly, the Suspension Control Pump Accumulator assembly extends to almost the 59" mark.

Now, taking my previous photo into consideration, you can see how these layout in sequence. Not much room in there at all.

I will be trying to gain access to a friend's lift to get better pics. Let me know exactly what you need... maybe using the above diagram as reference points and I will get you the measurements.

Oh, and here is another version of the diagram with labeling:
