LX570 - Anyone Lifted?

I have not seen anyone to date swap out the AHC system with a more "standard" LC suspension. This would include any of the major manufacturers - OME, ICON, etc.

Be the first and let us know how it goes!

Has anyone lifted a new LX570 with an ICON type lift? Is it possible? Thank you.

This comes up a lot around here.

When/if someone successfully does...there will be a lot of chatter about it.

I know of no one who has.

Folks in the Middle East are pulling AHc but details on the conversion are vague...

Is your primary goal to lift the car or change suspension? The AHC suspension is quite sophisticated, durable, and capable. In my mind, any aftermarket suspension is likely a downgrade. AHC can be augmented for a sensor lift, or with heavier springs/airbags for more load carrying. Perhaps I’m missing what the ICON setup might bring to the table?

As a different strategy for lift, I personally would do a tiered lift. Do a large tire as that’s real lift, under the diff and all (33-35”), adds 1-2” lift. Then a mild ½-1” body lift. And whatever sensor/suspension lift with AHC (1/2”). That’s a total of 2-3” lift. And you’d still have 2”+ of additional AHC on demand lift for a total of potentially 5”. That’s way beyond any static suspension lift, especially when you consider this lift will not sag when loaded.

Then consider that this would have way better driving/suspension dynamics as the suspension is still in its optimal geometry from the factory. No one talks about this, but a large suspension lift makes for an ill handling car. Something I personally would not tolerate day to day.

Just a different take on the age old how best to lift a truck question.

Is there a write up on how to perform the sensor lift? I haven't been able to find anything other than the LX470 write up.

IIRC, other mud member have run into issues when attempting a sensor lift.

I don't have an LX570 but last I heard through the grapevine is that the LX570's system is far more intertwined with other systems than the LX470 was. That being said it makes it more complicated and difficult, last I heard no one has done it yet?!?!

This is what I've heard as well. It's connected to the crawl control and auto leveling headlights, among other things. If there is a way to lift it while maintaining the stock AHC I'd love to find out how.

It wasn't lifted in Ouray in August...

Yes seems you're right. Probably the massive tires making it look lifted.

Do you know what their solution was to remove running boards and install sliders? I thought AHC parts prohibited that setup.

Right.

I know it looks it, especially with those 35's...but believe it or not...that is just the LX AHC.

Those sliders are the sweet ones they were still working on for the LX.

I have a feeling Slee has a good number of goodies hitting the market soon. :)

How do you fit 35s on a LX570? I am in the market for a second 200 and would want 35" LX570!

By putting up with a lot of rubbing. ;)

I don't think I can do that. Back to the LC

@sleeoffroad

Looking forward to more details on this truck.

There are people who want to buy LX parts from you.
