this whole story is puzzling. globes going bad on a 7 year old truck? all four globes ruptured? subbed.

I suspect brake fluid was used in the system at one time...

This brake fluid crap scares the hell out of me because you just can’t trust these people

ill bet you that’s why the engineers put the ahc reservoir in the back of the truck. Too much of that happening in the 100’s. Too bad too, because the old place was easy access.

Contamination is the number one way the system would fail. Probably brakes down the rubber bladder.

There are actually 10 accumulators an the lx570. The four low pressure are what typically get replaced.

as for failure, no auto part lasts forever. I think 11 years is pretty good for a suspension part.

it isn’t expensive $750.

and the capability gained from ahc for those that daily drive their 200 is immense. 1” drop to clear in parking garages, 3” lift for obstacles, and highway speed attitude trimming. don’t even need to get into the ride mode bennies.

Does the FSM give any indication as to the service life of the rest of the gas chambers? My 14 has 130k on it now. I replaced the globes at 114k and replaced all the fluid. Though, I wonder how important the other chambers are. I wish I undrlerstood their function. Ive never driven a 'like new' LX so I have nothing to compare what a fully functioning almost new AHC setup feels like vs mine. It rides perfectly fine to me. Though I wonder if the other chambers should be replaced as well. Like, if they age or are no longer efficient, would that somehow affect the actual ride quality or moreno how fast the system is able to respond to changes? Perhaps if theyre old and less efficient l, are they putting more workload on the big globes? I looked up the other 6 and the part numbers at Impex Japan and was pleasantly surprised that it would only be about seven or eight hundred to get the rest of the accumulators/chambers to replace. Though I wonder If its even necessary. What would the suspension gain from it if anything at all? Do they also have membranes in them that fatigue or are they more of a gas filled diaphragm?
