LX570 accumulators vs LX470 accumulators

Suggest go back to Post #35 in this thread -- there will be found four alternatives sources of OEM parts for LX470 or LC100 or LX570 or whatever. Prices for LC100/LX470 'globes' are quoted. All of these sources have been tried by IH8MUD Members around the world and found to be reliable for delivery of genuine OEM Toyota and Lexus parts.

Suggest go back to Post #1 in this thread for the part numbers.

Then suggest start with IMPEX, use part numbers and check prices, delivery etc .....

I don’t and honestly I probably won’t do it because it works, is 100x better than having blown out globes, and I’m too cheap to go have someone read the pressures. My globes had 400k on them before replacement and the truck is a 1999 and just my spare ride at this point in its life.

Just an update, but my LX570 globes came in and they work like a champ! I'm running LC100 torsion bars and coils to offset the smaller size but they work very very very good. My suspension has never been this nice. lol

For anyone looking for OEM globes, and not wanting to pay the $800 ish each from the stealership, go through IMPEX. Set of 4 470 cost me $430 or so, bought 6 bleeder screws too (to have a spare), and shipping was $112. All in all out the door for under $600.

Tried to use Amayama, but they do not have the documentation to ship the globes anymore. The manufacturer will not provide it, and they are considered dangerous since the “gas” and “pressurized” labeling.

Yeah, impex is pretty great. I just hate that shipping is determined after you put in an order.

Just read through this thread and I'm not clear on the rears... I have a 2003 LX470 that is completely stock. It seems that while the 570 accumulators will fit and work, there is some difference in the rears that make the rear stiffer?

Per brackmichael93, they are all good but the rears are just stiffer. And while tmoneyallday seems to be the only other confirmed install here, they mention using LC100 springs which I'm sure would change things significantly.

I'm looking for confirmed use of LX570 rear accumulators on a stock LX470.. Is it going to be unreasonably stiff, or close enough to OEM to still be comfortable? I am enticed by the idea of having a little more capacity in the rear as I often pull a trailer, but I don't want to have horrible ride quality during normal driving. It's been pulling and leveling fine for years with 235k mile OEM globes.

I'm only considering using the LX570 accumulators as they are less than half the cost of the LX470 ones on Impex currently.

Front LX470: 49041-60020 - $269.77/ea
Front LX570: 49141-60010 - $115.89/ea

Rear LX470: 49051-60020 - $269.77/ea
Rear LX570: 49151-60010 - $115.89/ea

I ended going back to lx springs but they have treated me well. I'd highly recommend the change! LC springs are too strong. Same with torsion bars

the part numbers you have listed for the 570 are what shows up on all the sites selling for the 470, even Lexus… they are also what I installed on my 2004. They work great

I think they are marginally weaker. If I recall correctly, the rear ones were only a 0.1 difference in volume, but the fronts were a little bit more, like 0.2 or 0.3. I can't remember the number, but I think it was something like 4.6, and the rears for the 470 were like 4.7. Either way, it made a noticeable difference to my ride compared to the blown-out old ones. They're way easier to remove because they have a nut welded onto the end of it rather than in the middle, using a giant spanner wrench like the 470 once had. I've had them on for several years, and they have not leaked at all.

The part numbers you have listed for the 470 come with the globes AND the housing that you attach the AHC lines into.

The part numbers you have listed for the 570, are the exact same globe replacement part numbers for the 470, minus the housing.

Yeah, those are definitely 570 globes. They don’t match any of the part numbers posted by tuner.

When they arrive at the warehouse and you prepare shipment, you get to declare your own value. 2500 yen is a good starting point, as they will tell you the minimum you can declare if too low. If done correctly, the most you will pay on tariffs is going to be about 30 bucks.
