i wanted to replace the amber signal light bulb to LED. I’ve been searching the internet and wont be able to pull up any instruction on how to remove the tail light. There are (2) 10mm bolts by the lower tail gste but cant see any other bolt to remove. The tail light assembly is not wiggling and not sure of the number and location of any additional bolts needed to be removed. please help

Can't speak for sure on the LX, but I've had the taillights out several times on my LC. They are held in with the 2 bolts you found, and 2 snap pins on the outboard side that point straight forward. So after removing the bolts, I just pull straight back, and they pop right out.

You'll need something to keep the LEDs from hyper-flashing. Some put resistors in-line, I did the SmartTap flasher upgrade, I really like it.

As KLF said, you'll just pull straight back once the bolts are removed.

But, dang, those clips are very tight. You'll wonder if its possible to pull the tail lamps off without something breaking. Just keep at it, you'll get it with a balance of brute force and patience.

I put some grease on the clips when reassembled mine, hoping it would be easier to remove the tail lamps if I ever needed to do so again.

Mine get removed every Spring for the full-on, get out the toothbrushes and Q-tips, entire truck detail. Even the jack gets waxed.

hmm,.lm not aware of the resistor thing until you mention it. Is there an option to reflash the cpu to accept the lower current? If the resistor route, do you know what is the resistance value?

The flasher is not in the CPU. What year is your LX? Looks like the SmartTap module works up to 2012.

I'm not aware of the resister values to use, I've always fixed the issue with a digital flasher upgrade. I'm sure there's plenty of references on the web that can advise, or try LED Lights, Bulbs & LED Lighting Accessories | superbrightleds.com to see if they have a replacement flasher.

Mine is a 2013 so will ha e to go the resistor route. now i just need to figur out where and which resistor to get
