Where was that connector/harness located?
How did that pin bend? Almost looks as if someone was in there previously?

It's explained in my previous post with the pictures. You can clearly see that the harness is corroded. That happens from water ingress. The moisture along with the current causes electrolisis. That corrosion broke down the metal pins. It's not that it bent. It's that the corrosion had eaten away at the metal that when I removed the harness the pins literally just fell like that. That harness is the one on the passenger side of the vehicle. Thise blocks are part of the main passenger side harness which begins under the passenger side kick panel corner.
Technically, someone could try to repair those specific wires by de-pinning the ones that broke, pulling the wire and re-pinning them one by one. I didn't want to mess with that since corrosion like that can work it's way into the actual wire strands down into the sheathing and you'd never know it until those failed too, later on down the line. That's why flood cars end up having electrical issues even after someone salvaged/rebuilt it. So I just replaced the entire thing.
No sound, no response to volume changes, “disc” and rear entertainment options missing from head unit. I checked the connectors under the passenger seat, and I checked the amp fuses under the hood.
The service menu says “amp ok”. Does that just mean the amp is responding (so it can’t be a fuse)?
One last small clue is that my amp fans used to intermittently ramp up/down and now i don’t hear the fans at all.
Lastly, i checked all the connectors on both passenger and driver side foot wells and everything looks fine.
Anything else to check before I pull the amp?

Might be the multi display controller under the passenger seat. Those fail less often than the amp but they do fail and there are documented cases of it here on this forum as well as other places online. Any break in the MOST system communication network will cause the entire system to not work. Do you have any MOST communications error codes when you perform a full deep scan of all the controllers using a good acanner? Typically, if its the AMP you'll see an NCON (not connected) status next to AMP, instead of OK. But, it could still be the amp. Thats whats frustrating about going about fixing these lexus multimedia system issues.
is there a fuse for that pos or a waty to test is? Any idea if i can pull the controller out of my wife's 2018 and swap it in to troubleshoot?
They are different parts 2016+. The controller for the newer models has more connections on it vs the pre-2016 models. As for testing, youd have to have access to the FSM with wiring diagrams to look up the controller to see which wires to test etc. This is why determining if you have a most connection error is a good step. At least itll give you a clue. I thought it was my amp, sent it out only to be told the amp was fine. I dont know how that passenger side vehicle harness was so corroded with pins eaten away and the only thing not working was the sound system. At least if something else had stopped working it would have pointed me to a wiring issue a lot sooner.
Thats about all Ive got as far as what to look for. I never heard my AMP fans in the cabin as you say you do. But when I looked at the amp under the seat and power in the vehicle they did spin up for a few seconds. That was my first clie that maybe it wasnt the amp but I sent it out anyway cause at that point thats all everything I had read pointed to as the culprit. So, if you dont hear them anymore, maybe it is the amp. Thats something that changed for you vs how it was before. So, if it was me, and I was used to hearing the fans and dont anymore, then yeah, Id be looking at the amp.
Yeah the stupid thing about that code is that it could be any device on the MOST network. Pretty much everyone that has had this issue says it was the amp. That along with your no fan noise from the amp symptom, could perhaps, maybe, possibly, conceivably mean it is the amp in your case. The only odd part about it being the amp is that it reports AMP OK.
Yep, same train of thought as I’m having. Is it common for the console service menu to not show the B15D0 code and for OBD to catch it?
I dont know if its common. I only ever saw the code when I scanned with a scanner.
well, I unbolted the seat and got the amp out. Somehow I got the fans working again, but still no sound.
I ran the dash system check with the amp unplugged, and it simply omitted the test. With the amp plugged in, it still passes.

Happy to report that I got my audio back! Didn’t think I’d miss it that much, but it really started getting annoying.
I was about to send my amp off toOEM Auto Audio when I came across a post mentioning that the diagnostic screen should show a line for the RSE module. Then it clicked that when I unplugging the amp, the status for it disappeared (as opposed to showing bad or NCon). This was a big clue that the RSE wasn’t being seen by the tests. I rechecked all the connectors and still nothing. Then, i jumped the MOST at the RSE module and my audio came on immediately!
Now to figure out if it’s just a power/fuse issue to RSE or if it’s fried.
Unfortunately, that module is more expensive to repair than the amp, but my kids will be fine without rear dvd!
My amp fans definitely need to be replaced, and that’s next on the to-do list. Those things had me on a wild goose chase, but happy to have sound back!

Sorry for replying to my own thread, but I got an update… I got the plug out from underneath the seat passenger seat for what I believe is the RSE module and it looks different on my 2011 and the one in the pics which I think is from a 2012-
This is why I was saying from memory that they connector as much tighter for jumping, but do you think the 1-3, 2-4 jump would work here? I also attached a picture of the module it connects to and also the diagnostic screen, which shows that the amp is working OK.

Hello how are you, can you help me please? How you jump the most connector? I need to do that to my lx570 but i dont find any conector to jump this connector
I got a really good deal on a 2013 lx570 due to the no audio and dead rear entertainment problem.
I was feeling confident that it was the RSE module due to the info I learned on this threat. Aside from the mentioned symptoms, I also had the “ok” for the amp and emv-m but no RSE in the menu at all. I tried to loop/jump the RSE and nothing happened. I fiddled with the wires a lot to try to finesse the leads to touch the pins perfectly but had no luck.
Does anyone have any tips on looping the wire harness or any ideas why my result was different? I still need to check the wire harnesses in the footwells.
One weird anecdote is that my car alarm arms itself when the doors are not locked intermittently… very strange and I wonder if the issue could originate from the same bad harness or something.
