I have been looking at LC's and LX's for years. The LX570 seems to make the most sense for the way i will use the vehicle. I am likely looking at the 2013-15 years as they seem to be a good balance between modern technology and enough depreciation to be in my budget. The adaptive cruise and AHC are the main features I think I’ll enjoy. How can I tell just looking at pictures if a truck has adaptive cruise? I thought it was part of the Luxury Package, including Mark Levinson and rear entertainment but are those options available without the others? Links to previous threads would also be helpful. Quite frankly the research is half the fun. Thanks

There is a cruise control button on the steering wheel which adjusts the following distance (from vehicle in front of you). That's a dead giveaway of adaptive cruise.

looks like it was part of my Luxury package.

It seems that the mark levinson and rear entertainment could be had without the luxury package as several for sale have both of those options but then only have the answer call button in that location on the steering wheel. Am I correct understanding that earlier models had Adaptive Cruise available as well?

It’s the Luxury Package with Pre-collision that you are looking for. If it has Pre-collision it will have radar cruise.

I had that on my 2010: They are not as easy to find as you might think.

FYI Lexus calls it Dynamic Radar cruise control. I have it on my 2011 and like it well enough. Just note it only works down to 25MPH. When I was shopping, looking for that button on the steering wheel was the easiest way to tell. I found the sales brochure for each year useful in seeing what options and packages were available. I'd also recommend creating an account at Lexus Drivers so you can enter the VIN of vehicles you are looking at to see the options the vehicle was built with and the service history. Good luck with your search.
