For anyone considering removing the running boards on the LX700, it took me about 40 minutes total needing only a small screw driver to pop some pins and a 12 millimeter socket. Super easy and the light is retained which is nice. Looks 10x better without them and is easier to get in.

I appreciate that Lexus split the boards unlike the 200 series. Also fun fact the attachment method to the body is the same as the 200 and 100.

Talk to us about those tires? They look very aggressive and cool. MTs? OEM size?

They are Mickey Thompson Baja boss ATs LT275/70R18X11.00R18LT. They measure 33.4. I have them on my 80 series and cybertruck as well. Absolutely incredible on sharp rocks, ice and snow. Only tires I’ll buy. I wheel hard in the 80 at low pressure and never had one hole in them.

That's a great option for when the Toyos are spent. I assume no rubbing going from the stock 265 to 275s?

None at all even at low suspension setting. This is about as big as you can go without needing to trim stuff at low. It’s also the biggest allowed for the spare tire area. This size tucks all the way up, but any bigger, even 1/4 inch wouldn’t fit all the way up. I wanted the 34s but it wouldn’t work, I had the tire shop try it.

Looks Proper!!! I may have to ask for forgiveness instead of permission...

Did you get it realigned for the negative camber at full height?

I keep mine in H1 due to it looking so goofy in H2 without an alignment.

Starts looking like this more and more you look at it.

I wrote negative camber above. Correction “Positive Camber” from the front end when in H2

Ah. I get it now. But would this correction not compromise what Lexus designed for the car when in H2? I mean, not trying to be picky, but I have to assume that’s how Lexus intended it to perform - even if looking goofy, as you say.
