Yeah well what fitting effort are you willing to undertake? 285/70r17 is the Mr T recommended size. Others have rolled up to 35x12.5 17... If I had 17" rims I'd be on the 35x11 17 Kenda 601 r/t. If you size up offset is going to require a look.

I am willing to trim the front mud flap but wouldn’t want to make any modifications beyond that.

Check out the database in the FAQs, then run a search on Mud for the tire you are considering to find pics. This place is full of tire photos (thanks particularly to @Markuson ).

@grinchy and I are both running 35" with minor modifications. So just work your way down from there:
285/75/17
295/70/17
305/70/17

You can also look into performing a "sensor lift" to get a 1" lift out of the AHC

LX570 AHC height modifications (lift it!)

just a thought, would it be easier to put a spring compressor on the front spring and cut through the spacer and gently spread it and slife in between the coil and top hat wather then undo the hydraulic line
