They work extremely well on my wife's GX.

I was told by the local dealer, that we should expect them at 80,100 and above. he also said he sold his full allotment for the year already and are taking significant deposits for the waiting list. Some one who wants one should PM LexusBen and see what he says, I think he works at the dealer!

FYI the rain sensing sensor significantly raises the cost of the glass...dont ask me why i know :/

The rain sensor works very well unless its in fog or misting lightly; then it just confuses the damn thing (at least on mine it did...they might have further improved the sensor by now)

So does this damn thing come with HID lights or not?!? It wouldn't surprise me with TTL the vehicle will be just barely south of 90k. I highly doubt Lexus will be sending bare bones LXs to the states; most will come with the obligatory DVD entertainment system which in itself will add at least 5k to the price.

Exactly my experience in our 2006. If its pouring, the sensor works fine. But in a light rain or mist (which is more common here in S. CA than a pouring rain) it gets really confused. Sometimes the glass will be drenched before it activates and other times it will be going ape s*** when the glass is essentially dry.

I fail to see the benefit of the system since it literally takes the flick of a wrist (and your hands don't even have to leave the steering wheel) to activate an "old school" wiper system.

Just means you're not driving fast enough if you have time to take your hands off the wheel

Rain sensing wipers work great in AZ/NM. OTOH, I've only seen fog in Tucson on two days in the 5 yrs I've lived there.
