LX 570 Front Camera

I Have a 2009 LX 570 with the front camera not showing. The front rt. camera shows OK and the lft. does not. Dash switch seems OK as it changes screens. My primary question is firstly any experience with this front one. It is not desirable to throw a $1100.00 to $1500.00 camera at the truck to test. Can I take the rear camera out and plug it in to the front's connector to reliably fault the front camera?

Should work. The wiring on Toyota cameras is fairly simple, I've swapped in cameras from a Camry for troubleshooting my 2016's backup camera before. The mounting is pretty similar as well between all of them. Once you pull them out and compare, you'll see what I mean. No need to buy another camera for a 2009 LX when a junkyard camera from a newer Corolla will likely connect and fit with a little creativity.
