The clip house is the place. I didn't know they had window channel type stuff. Good tip, thanks. I was going to order some up from SOR, but their prices can be high on some things. I'm not one of those "all factory Toyota parts or nothing" kinda guys. I use whatever works for the best price. It kills me that there are guys on 'mud that order factory Toyota oil filters from Japan in bulk, to me, that's taking it a little too serious. :)

Got my 2 1/2 in lift on this past week. I've been through hell with this lift kit. I think I ordered it back in the beginning of February. I've been in constant E-mail contact with Hell creek, all the while them assuring me it would ship on Friday. Then next Friday came.... It'll ship next Friday.... That was about a month's worth. I finally got it and it didn't come with any shocks. Oh well, that aside, I have to say I am seriously impressed with the springs in this Hell Creek kit. The build quality is outstanding, as is the ride. If anyone is considering a 40 lift, you should come check it out. Flex is much better, but still no 4 link. Really ties everything on the rig in, looks much better now. It was also the easiest lift I have ever installed in my life. 4 hours! Air tools help greatly.

Anyway, I haven't included pictures, if you want to see it, you'll have to get your butt out and wheel with me :flipoff2:

BTW I have my stock 40 shocks if anyone wants them. They're ugly, but they are in good shape. A little sanding and paint and they would look great. Free to a good home.

aww come on - pics please! I'm about ready to pull the trigger on these so I (hopefully) get them by the time I have my axles put together!

Been wanting to go with a soft top since i got this rig, stopped and talked to 4wheel parts and the deal the made me could not be refused..... so i bought one! Yeah, yeah... i know it's a bestop and most people hate the way they look, but there aren't an overabundance of choices out there. I like it =) and to top it off, my rig came with bestop soft doors! That's Trevor's old tailgate back in action on a different rig. Thanks Trevor!

The wife and i loaded up and took off this weekend, went down through deckers, back up through sphinx park to the infamous bucksnort saloon, up to 285 and hit a couple trails in the redcone area, then explored around jefferson. Couldn't really find and camp spots that were not crawling with people, so we called justin and ended up meeting him and the kids down at china wall. There was more people than i thought there would be, but they were very cool and had a few adult beverages with us saturday night. We had a great time. The 40 was pulling down some amazing gas mileage, we filled up in jefferson after all day exploring and driving and only needed 9 gallons of gas. The old dog even maintained 45 mph on the steep passes... just an awesome vehicle. The fj40 is the only carburated vehicle i have ever driven that offers no compromises when you are driving, there's no sputtering, hesitation, or fumbling... it just does what it was designed to do-- get you there slow and steady =) love it.
