I am currently building my '78 FJ40. 5.3LS to TH350trans to 19 spline split case. I am using the Advance Adapters tranny to t-case adapter. I am looking to see what is available for crossmembers using the mount provided on the AA adapter. I have seen the crossmember that AA sells, but it looks like it hangs down really far in the pics. Has anyone done a similar swap and what did you use? I'm not afraid to fab one, but I'd like to see what options are available, or what others have done.

It does hang down 2 inches . I have it on mine and not a fan . Its one of those things i keep looking at and thinking of how i want to make a better one but just have not done yet . Ultimately i am changing my T-case so i have been waiting till i do that

Do you have a pic of the crossmember installed? I'm not sure that the 2" hang down is that big of a deal to me, but its hard to say without seeing it in person.
