Lower Oil Pan Gasket

I had to order a new lower oil pan for my 93 FZJ because the threads on the current oil pan are stripped. I looked but could not find a gasket for the lower section of the oil pan. Does anyone make one or should I just use some RTV?

@Carzan : are you saying the threaded holes in the upper oil pan have stripped threads or ??


For a FZJ80 (1FZFE engine) the steel lower #2 oil pan (12102-66010) has no threaded holes (except for the drain plug).

There are 17 bolts (90119-06600) that go up through (unthreaded) holes in the lower steel pan and then thread into the upper (cast aluminum) oil pan (#1). Those bolts should be torqued to 69 in lbs using an inch pound torque wrench. IIRC there are also two studs (90116-06133) threaded into the upper aluminum pan (no torque spec, install snugly until they seat) which go down through unthreaded holes in the lower pan and those studs each get a nut, 90179-06222 (torqued to 78 in lbs).

You are saying your lower oil pan the black one the drain plug hole is stripped? Or the upper big long aluminum oil pan holes are stripped for the lower pan bolts to go into?
