my lower control arm cam bolts are seized and need to be replaced when I install a lift. I'm going with the SPC uca.

Are the only options total chaos or the oem lca?

I like the beefier design of the total chaos but I don't think I'll really utilize the benefits of the uniball. Would probably prefer the simplicity and lower maintenance of ball joints.

Can you just replace the cam bolts w/ something like these: Toyota Alignment Cam Bolt Kit - 25450

Or if you need to replace them I would try and find some new-ish OEM takeoffs from a local shop. You can get the cam bolts above, which I hear come w/ a sleeve to keep the joint from seizing.

It sounded as though the lca would be damaged in removing the seized cam bolts so replacing would be necessary.

Good idea on the take offs. Maybe I'll put up a wanted listing in the classifieds as well.

Good time to do a tundra swap if you're considering it. Many tundra owners are taking their uppers and lowers off and posting on craigslist for pennies. (At least here in SoCal where desert racing is king)

if you need a set of stock lower control arms, you can have mine. off an 08' w/140K Arizona truck, no rust.
don't know how bad shipping will be.
use those in conjunction with SPC cam adjusters, and you'll be golden.

Thank you TexAZ. A very generous offer indeed. Discussing further via PM :).

Are the only options oem or total chaos at the moment?

so it seems as though I may need new ones. The ball joints aren't replaceable.

If mine need to be cut out what would I need to replace?

right lower control arm- part number 4806860030
left lower control arm- part number 4806960030

anything else?

I've replaced my lower ball joints, they just press out and back in like any other joint.

I replaced my LCA cam bolts with SPC cam bolts. They come with an anti-seize sleeve that runs the length of the front cam bolt so theres no metal on metal contact. Less expensive than OEM and SPC took their design a step further to ensure no seizing. I ordered mine through O'Reillys auto parts / local / will call.....its a no brainer once you check it out

And just a heads up, the "(2)" in the part name doesn't mean both sides, just two bolts. Need to order two sets, one for each side.

Yes correct. Order two seperate sets

do bushings come in the right and left LCA assembly, or do I have to order separately?

@Brett19648 id take @TexAZ up on his offer. Im running @RS6tofj80 LCA's and his texas ones were cleaner thsn reusing my original ones. Shipping was like $60 or something. Heres my old ones

Toyota OEM lower control arm bushings come in front and rear sets. Meaning one set is both left and right sides and just the front bushings. The other set is both left and right sides of the rear bushings.

And Willy, so you know, one of TexAZs ball joint boots is torn up.

No beuno on the boot.
Anyone is welcome to mine. You just have to wire wheel them a bit snd recoat them. If youre interested ill take better close ups of the boots to make sure theyre in good order

so the bushings do need to be ordered separately if getting new control arms? I know they can be ordered separate, wasn't sure if they're included with the lca's though...

Oh, yea if you are ordering new control arms they will come complete with all bushings and ball joints.

I thought you were rebuilding you original control arm.

I have a seized cam bolt on my LCA as well. Did you end up having to cut yours off? If so, how did you go about do it?

I brought it to mainline overland to take care of it for me. They went at it with a sawzall for a couple hours and burned through around 50 blades getting them out...
