A huge step in the diagnostic process is finding a way to repeat the issue on demand, which it sounds to me like you did. Kudos for tracking that down. Here's hoping that simple fix did the trick.

I haven't had a problem since I crimped down pin in the ECU plug. In fact, right after I got it put back together I spent the next 3 weeks on the road for work, racking up 1,800 trouble free miles.
