I am the proud owner of a new fj62 I found in NC. This poses 1 problem in my household, wife says I have to get rid of a cruiser so I have listed my Troopie for sale

1983 Toyota Land Cruiser, $19,725 - Cars.com

and I am going to list my 1997 40th anniversary edition as 3 cruisers in the driveway will make me have to pick up a child support and alimony payment--If you want more info or are interested let me know....C fien

Congrats on the new cruiser Lance post up some pics when you get a chance. Sorry to hear the troopie and 80 will have to go you certainly can post them here as well this thread gets plenty traffic.

Hey, a guy from work just messaged me and told me about that 80 for sale. I assume it is on Hwy 89 south of Youngsville?

Ok here are the two 40s for sale and the low down. First is a 1981 fully restored BJ40 with a aluminum tub. Guy wants $28k and it is nice but I think he is on crack asking that much.

Secondly is a 1968 FJ40 that the guy has had for two years. rust in the normal spots, but the body is straight and very nice. Original engine and he said it was running when he got it two years ago. New clutch, slave and master. Says there is a wiring issue going to the starter. might be an easy fix. He paid $5k for it and would like that for it. I said that was to much and told him it was worth $2500.00 He said sounds good. So i think cash in hand may get it for less. I would buy it but play funds are low. I hate to see this go to a non cruiser guy so I thought I would offer it up to the club. Let me know if anyone wants any more info.

Looks like the last one is a steal Deryl. Can you just bring it to my house and explain everything to Michelle?

My friend down her just bought a sweet 78' BJ-40 for $1200 USD. With the economy tanking, it is a buyers market down here. I am seeing many people down here selling cruisers for half price and I think the market will soften even more. I am done and sunny side up but man I saw a hilux turbo diesel 2003 go for $7k from investors that had to retreat to the U.S. after the crash. My hands are tied but if anyone needs help bringing back.....................my services are free............

Both are great looking rigs

fj62 is home

Alright guys, I got the 62 home last night. I cought a 5:20 am flight to Raliegh NC and drove strait thru, arrived at 1 am--The 62 ran great and was in better shape than I could have imagined--Deryl stopped by to look at it today--I plan on having some pics posted in the next couple of days before I start breaking it down-----I just ordered a 2.5" HELLS CReek suspension and I am working on the new Tires and wheels. I am looking for some factory rims (isn't everyone) so if you know of a set please let me in on it.....I also need some minor stuff like rear seat head rest, carpet/mats etc...Does anyone know of some good rubber/molded mat kits for the 62 series. I tried husky liners today and they did not make it for this year---

The 40th anniversary is sold but the troopie is still for sale (yes it is very expensive I know) if anyone might be interested--

Glad to hear it carried you home safely Lance sounds like a nice rig I look forward to seeing it. As for the mats I prefer the husky versions too thats a shame they don't have them for the 60's. Have you looked to see what Spectre has? He usually has something. I always see that weathertech stuff in the magazines but haven't seen any in person.

Have a Wal Mart battery out of my 4Runner, the biggest they had that will fit in my stock location, still have the receipt and a year left on the warranty. Could trade it in for a new one if you like, make an offer or trade some parts. Installed an Optima is the reason for selling.

How much do you want for it? I think mine is on the way out. It always goes dead after about a week even without a drain.

I think I can do $30.
