Anyone want this BJ-70. It is in Nicaragua. $3800 and a roll on roll off service + customs + 2 days of my time can probably get it to you for around $6000. I see these all the time and they are normaly around $9000 to $12000. I have spoken with the owner and have more pics and details. It is a 1984 so it can be legally imported. I am in the market for a 45 pickup and ran across this one and just thought you guys may be interested. I wouldn't make any money off of this but it has been awhile since I have been in Granada, Nicaragua and am always up for an adventure.

The damage you see on the front fender is the only damage on the vehicle.

I want one really really bad...can't do it right now though.

trade him a harley ! sportster! book value5500!

Drive her down south. I am sure you could get top dollar down there. Be carefully driving through Mexico right now, the last time I was down there the "Zeta" (I think thats the name of the gang) gave me a bad feeling. I am very scared of those people. More than I was scared when entering Guatemala in 1991 and seeing two tanks duel it out on the Pan American Hi-Way right in front of me with stuff shooting out of those barrel things that protrude forward of the tanks. The "zeta" guys are camouflage so you can't see the muzzle flash till it is all over.:D

Hey Jonathon, I'll take that winch cable off of your hands.

via Email

Scott,

Good day. I am contacting you because I have lost Dan Palmer and Mike Theriot's phone numbers. I have been doing fj's for over 25 years. Done over 20 0f them. I sold a couple to Mike and several fj60 and 62's here in lafayette and New Orleans. I know of you only because I stopped one day when I saw your "Monster" cruiser at Women's and Children's Hospital one day. I figured it was yours since it was in your parking space. I lived and worked in South Australia,( Adelaide, Gawler and Teal Flats.). Anyway,I have 3 fj's left. Been having them for years. I brought a 75 model back from N. Georgia 2 weeks ago. I had every intention of restoring it, but time and money won't allow at this time. I want to sell it. I figured I would contact the Club, you guys, and see if anyone was looking for a good unit to redo. It is a 1 owner, The University Of Georgia at Athens. It was purchased new with 78 miles on it and used until 1982 when it was decommissioned and stored. It is "All" there and runs and drives. It has all books and records, owners manual, sticker sheet, original bill of sale from dealer and service records. It does need complete restoration, however, it is not a basket case by any means. There is the normal rust, but no rust thrus on main body. Under the hood is very OK. It has 76,000 documented miles. Has the jump seats, hard top, factory,(small rims) and as I said, it's all there. I have restored ones in much worse condition. The oil in the crankcase is as clean as in a new can of oil. No engine or major mechanical is needed. Mainly tires, depending on type suspension one would choose,( lift or not), and a complete paint job, inside and out to make it like new again. If there is any interest in the club members, please call me on my cell....337 654 1300. I sent email to Dan, but he never replied. I have no idea how often he looks at his club address. I live in the Saints street area off West St. Mary. It is under my garage. By end of month, I will list it on craigslist and Ebay. I have sold everyone I put up there. I will also run it in the quarter. I wanted to try you guys first since I know you're as passionate about these as I am. I dislike tirekickers and idiots who come to look at a "Jeep". Thanks Doc. I have friends who know you, so I realize you are a physician. I drove 2 Landcruisers in Austalia, one on propane and the other on diesel. There's a ton of them there. All RHD though. But that was easy after awhile. Thanks for looking at this mail. Feel free to call me. I am asking $5,500.00 . That includes the 600.00 it cost me to get it here.

Glynn Leger...........friend of Dan and Mike. Haven't seen them in a while,...but they know me. have a good day.

That's in my neighborhood, I'll try to look for it this weekend.
