Wanted :

Heavier than stock flywheel for 4cyl. 22RE .Stock flywheel I believe is about 22lb . Aftermarket flywheel I believe is in the 33lb to 35lb range. If someone has one collecting dust let me know I’m needing one. Thanks

any one look at this?

Well no I have not. I have emailed the guy twice. First time was a email stating a number and location to look at it. The response was he would get me pics in a couple weeks and that it was rusted out. So I sent a seconde email again asking for his contact info and got the same thing responded back except he was out of town for a couple weeks. So I responded on last time to tell the guy when he decides to sell it let me know and I will come by and look at it. The emails just dont give me the right feeling. Sounds like it could be fake.

A bit in left feild but... Anyone know where they have a VW bug for sale?

Oddly enough Josh, I saw one today. 1966 VW Bug. Located on the corner of Congress near Guilbeau. It'll be on your right if you're coming from Ambassador. Nice paint on it. Looks in good shape. Didn't see a price.

Thanks! if I go into the city I will look into it.

I dont know. I am selling my dually, and have a little money in my pocket from that. Dont really know what a "damn nice" one runs price wise. I cant see spending alot on a bug though. I know on ebay nice once go for but for what I want to do with it I cant see spending more than 2-3k on a bug.

You should buy this 4runner I saw 4 sale on East Bayou Parkway. Its an 84 with EFI upgrade, geared, locked, lined interior, All-pro F/R bumpers, winch, and camo paint job. He said most of the work was done at Cajun Off-Road. He was asking $5500 but by the time we finished talking he was willing to sell for $3000. If I had a way to snatch it up it would be sold in a heart beat. His number is 344-3600, he bought a Jeep and selling a Toyota so know he is crazy already. LOL
Buy it and sell me yours for $400 and its like only $2600.:p

I say get the Bug.

I say get a westfilia(not sure on spelling). My brother had one of those when we were kids and we would do lots of non 4x4 expedition stuff in Central America. We were drunk in the French quarter and bought it for $1000 and left the next day for Central America without even checking the oil. That thing had a bullet proof motor. Having a sink, stove, and two beds was awesome. I remember back in the 80's or early 90's they used to have those corvette commercials that bragged about running their motors for 24 hours at red line with no problems. We would race back from Mexico City with wide open throttle for 48 hours straight on a 20 year old motor at the time. Our best time was 20 hours( I think) from Mexico City to Austin, TX. when the military didn't stop us at every bridge or checkpoint. We would average around 80 miles an hour and open the back hatch and motor compartment so the little Porsche air cooled motor could disperse heat a little better. Ah..........youth and not a care in the world was nice.

If it was me i by the 4runner. I saw this 4runner two weeks ago its o/k. The man needs to wash the red dirt off the bottom. John did you see the two door handles on the right side in side door, what is up with that.

That is so rear seat passengers can open the door, there is a handle at the rear of the door so that you dont have to climb over the seat to reach the regular handle.

And John... 400 dollars? Your breaking my heart man.

You get it and I'll store it, covered parking every other two weeks.

I stared at those two pictures for about 15 minutes and couldn't see what you guys were talking about...then I read John's comments that it was camo painted...that sure is a good paint job!

Just joking Josh, but no joke a hell of a deal for the amount of upgrades on this truck. This thing is trail ready, looks to be in great shape, and sounds like a motivated seller.

I went check it out. Besides the gears, and the rear locker, there is really nothing drawing me to it, and it only has 4.88's so its not even really what I am wanting to do anyway.

Did not help that when I mentioned the three thousand to him over the phone he responded like I had asked him if he wanted to go out to dinner and a movie.

Eitherway, I would rather drop the three grand in the truck I already have.

Sounds like you love your truck. Good for you, I know I am partial to mine too. :D Besides, that thing is famous and been in magazines. According to some, it even has E-lockers.:hillbilly:

Yep Pretty much :D

Was going to just put a spool in the rear and an aussi in the front... might be a sign I need to step it up though. It is a serious stretch to refer to it as famous though.
