Definitely going to wheel it. I talked to Joe again today and he mentioned he had spoken to Deryl. I'm sure there will be one popping up.
 
:bang::bang:A guy just stoped at my house and asked if I wanted to sell my 60. He then saw my 40 and said that there was one for sale like my 40 for $300 dollars. It was a 67 fj-40 in good shape with a recently rebuilt motor. Needless to say, I was out of my driveway before I could even tell the guy good bye. The story was that the owner of this 40 went to jail for a long time and the wife was selling it. When I got there it was GONE. Sold in the last couple days and it sat there for over 7 months.:bang:

It was right under my nose, a few miles from my house in Mandeville. My first FJ-40 I bought for $200 and I towed it home and changed a $1.59 condenser and it fired right up. It had fred flintsone floor boards but that was ok because it didn't have AC.:D

It happens. After I bought my 4runner I blew the engine out of it, went look @ another one I found in the quick quarter, 4K Locked, lifted, 5.29's, 63" chevy rears, with rears up front... I still kinda wish I had abought it and just had my current one haulled off. but mine will be tougher once I am done. I keep telling my self that. I hope to belive it one day :hillbilly:

:D 4-Sure. Albert was looking for some factory rims but I don't think those were the ones. Good deal for some a street setup for a while. :)

  • Front Axle looks complete (warn hubs) driver's side steering arm was removed and left on the front bumper (I put it under the driver's seat)
  • Rear Axle
  • Springs
  • Heater Components
  • Glass
  • Driver's side running board is in good shape
  • Both drive shafts
  • Transmission
  • Transfer case
  • Intake
  • Valve cover looked ok
  • Some knobs & switches
  • Dash had a few cracks but may be better than what you have now
  • Front Bumper looked good
If anyone needs any parts that will fit in my Subaru you can pay me the truck price on the price sheet (plus core) via pay pal and I could bring them out to a Bayou State meeting- You can buy me a beer or 12 depending on the work involved:D OR I will gladly help you pull some of the bigger parts if you want to drive out here.

Damn, I see transfer case linkage was on it too... So this is no more?
 
Last time I was there was early December, scoured the yard looking for the cruiser and did not find it. I asked the people working there and they didn’t think it was out there. Sorry again :(
