Frisco area, north of Dallas. But my folks live on Lake Conroe so I am down in the Houston area quite a bit

Eric, one of our LLK members in Covington has his 40 for sale. He is never on MUD and I am out of town right now but send a PM to Deryl (speedn3) and tell him you want some info on Ross' 40. Either he'll have the info or can put you in touch with Ross. All I can tell you is that it's not a pretty pavement queen but it's no ugly rust bucket either. I know his wife used to drive around town in it quite a bit.

Thats good info Ross's 40 was a solid rig the few times I saw it, no beauty queen but a solid rig and perfect for a restoration project as well. Eric you may remember seeing it at Paradise or Coles Creek but its been a few years  I even have Mike in there ;)

I'll send Deryl a pm right now...if any of you speak to him, ask him to look for my pm...
Does anyone know Ross's phone number by chance?
Thanks,
Eric

Wow! That was the one time I went to Cole's Creek and my clutch went out around mid day. And Isaac was in the turbo charged 80. Good times.

It sure was some good times, the Paradise and Coles Creek events wouldn't make anyone's favorites list but it was close and just nice enough to get outside and pass a good time with friends :)

Wow, that's a old picture Larry..seam like yesterday we were there.

Is that a good price? Would it be direct bolt in, or like new mounts for motor/trans. Seems nice.

Don't get to excited Cody, if it is a B series diesel it is only like 80 hp and 150 feet of torque.

Can't imagine how slow a 60 would be with even less power :p

But I have 2 40 series.

Alright, it's gone, we're going get it saturday... It's a B engine, not the 3b. He has the complete wiring harness from the whole truck for 24v, even has the cap on fusebox, glow coil stuff. He also said something about a box under the seat that is like a vacume pump, because a diesel doesn't create enough, or something like that... He even brought over a factory engine mount, that he is going to have "replicated" locally so it will essentially be a direct bolt on, he said it bolted differently, something about a hole/mount in the cross bar for the transmission, maybe, isn't on a diesel, and the mounts are a little beefier, or something like that. :D

Larry/Scott. I know yall wanted a front end of a 40. He sold a parts cruiser that has a fiberglass hood/fenders, grill front area, and it still sitting in his yard, If Scott wants, I can get him to call the new owner, and see what he is doing with them, Joe, diesel guy, will see if he can get incontact before to know if he wants to part with it.. we could possibly bring back.

He has a bunch of odd ball 40 series stuff. a split hood in perfect shape from a 67'He also has a 67' grill, mesh, emblem, rubber, light buckets, (basically all the front end) that is in perfect shape, I'm not sure if we need any of that stuff, so I'm going after work tomorrow to see if we need that., but if we don't need it, and somebody else does, let me know.

A bunch of this is comming from my notes while we were talking, so if it seems random that's why... :D

The airbox, radiator, is that something that will be different from ours? If so, I think we need that too. He also said that it either has the H41, or H42, not sure which.

thanks
Cody
