The ONLY reason for selling is we are tired of having extra vehicles in the driveway and paying insurance on them. As soon as this sells, we are trading in the F250 on a newer 4X4 tow rig that will also be Sandy's DD.

GLWTS Mike and finding that new tow rig, I tried that with the wife a few years ago I wanted to get her the new truck and I'll have myself a tow rig when I need it :) I even found the truck we wanted a last year model Ford 7.3 4WD with 36,000 original miles and was only used to tow his 5th wheel the holy grail of tow rigs. We go on the test drive and I drive it first the truck is loud and powerful all original exhaust as well. Salesman is in the back seat and now its the wife's turn to drive its to be her daily driver and she was scared stiff and refused to drive it. Needless to say we didn't come home with the new tow rig :( I could still cry for not bringing that truck home.

Well, I am not the one who came up with this idea. Sandy did when we were on our way up to Mardi Krawl a couple of weeks ago. The thought never crossed my mind until she brought it up. But when you think about it, it makes all the sense in the world. And as much as she doesn't want to admit it, she likes driving bigger trucks. Every time she needs to take the F250 somewhere, she gets a smile on her face. So, I don't think that will be an issue. Her FJC has been pampered and very well cared for. I am hoping it won't take long to sell, then we can really begin searching for her new ride. ;)

Great to hear Mike sounds like you and Sandy are on the same page, gotta love a woman who likes big trucks :) The wife and I are polar opposites what sounds good to me sounds like lunacy to her. We meet somewhere in the middle, LOL. I hope the FJ moves fast for you I've been watching prices but they seem to be holding their value, good for the seller bad for the buyer. I'm still a year off but I would contemplate a 2WD when we look to pick one up for Holden the first thing I'd want to do with the 4WD is go with a SAS maybe I'll save money on the frontend with a 2WD. I'd like something in that mileage range just broke in.

Spring cleaning and getting rid of a bunch of camping gear, Holden and I just got complete sets of lightweight gear including tents/sleeping bags/backpacks for Scouting and Backpacking trips. Your welcome to try any of this stuff and if you don't like it bring it back no worries at all. Both tents were used a handful of times as most of you know we've done most of our camping in the 80 or when the family is going we’re in the wife's mobile home. In some cases the tents on the last two trips we brought just to put our sleeping gear in so we didn't have to completely fold up our bed mats every morning before heading out. Scott should have used it at SCC he was soaked while I had a empty dry tent :whoops: The 2 man Hooligan 2 was added right before GSMTR 2010 for the places we couldn't camp in the 80.

Coleman Hooligan 2, 2 person tent - $30, money back guarantee :D

Coleman internal frame Backpack - $40 (paid $109), money back guarantee :D used twice for packing camera gear on long hikes to water falls and once on the backbone trail last year. Not big enough for multiple day back packing trips unless your a really light packer. Perfect for day hikes or packing in for wheeling trip :D

Thermos Camp/Tail Gate Grille - $35, money back guarantee

Still have that Coleman Hooligan 2, 2 person tent? If so bring it to the meeting Sunday I'd like to get it from you. I'll have your snatch block also.

80 Rims..

Great guy, mud member, serves our military currently...

Email from him:

Scott,

Just following up on the FJ40 classified. No takers yet, but there is continued occasional interest. Did you put that tub to good use yet? On a different note, I have an awesome set of freshly powder-coated FZJ80 wheels that I wanted to run on my Tundra, but could not without wheel spacers. Did not want to use spacers, so I went another route. Do you know anyone who might be interested? $625 for 5 wheels (spent $400.00 on powder coat - flat black - for 4 of them and they have never been mounted) + shipping. The center-caps have been lightly blasted and are ready for matching paint. I would have posted these on I8mud myself but had some trouble with the images. I have $625 invested and am just looking to get my money out of them. Please let me know.

Thanks,
JW St. Amant

wasnt there a couple on FB a couple weeks back, granted, they needed some assembly, but if I remember the metal was in good shape. Other than that, there are a couple in the south that are running, and nice, but they seem to want a pretty penny... see craigslist...

Thanks
Cody

Wow, great to hear from you Eric your ears must of been ringing I was talking about you this past weekend. Haven't seen any 40's to pass on lately but I haven't been looking hard either like Paul said we'll keep our eyes open for you. Any special criteria or year model your looking for? Wheeling capable or restored beauty queen :)

Going to go one of two ways...
Definitely a turn key as Ms. Jean said, because you all know that I can't fix crap!
And either back to a wheeling rig that isn't an eye-sore or looking for a collectable restored beauty queen to run around north texas in.
The biggest thing that I want to avoid is a rust bucket...other than that when the right rig comes along, I want to jump on it.
Where did Armond's brown rig end up...I know he sold it, but where is it now? A rig like that would be perfect.
Thanks all,
Eric

Where in North Texas are you?
